David Beach Competition
Sheila Driver wins top award for Half a Sixpence. Simon Ball and Josie Charles also nominated for awards.
Congratulations to Sheila Driver on winning the David Beach award in the category of Best Choreography, for her work on the recent YAOS production of Half a Sixpence.
The trophy was presented to Sheila at the annual David Beach Presentation Evening, held at Somerset County Cricket Club on Saturday 9th March.
The David Beach Competition for Musicals is organised by the Somerset Fellowship of Drama and is open to all amateur groups in the County.
It is terrific news for the Society to have Sheila’s excellent choreography recognised in this manner.
In addition, both Simon Ball and Josie Charles were also nominated for awards.
Simon Ball was nominated in the Stage Management category, for his work in South Pacific.
Josie Charles was nominated in the Youth 17-20 Female category, as Ann in Half A Sixpence.
